West house pottery

"West House Pottery is a social enterprise supporting artists and potters with learning disabilities to create stunning art and ceramics for the community in West Cumbria" (From the West House Pottery leaflet).

I am very proud to be showcasing and selling these soap dishes, that have been made especially for me. I had the pleasure of meeting their representatives at a craft fair in Carlisle, where we discussed the possibility of making ceramic dishes for holding my products. After I was shown some prototypes, I was more than happy to commission more pieces.

These unique dishes complement my products and I have had a wonderful response to these at my craft fairs.

If you would like to purchase a handmade soap dish that has been made by West House Pottery, then please click on the button below (Add to Cart). The price of the soap dish is £5-00 and as the items vary from one delivery to another, you will get one chosen at random. Delivery will be £3-25. If you want something specific, then you can email me at victoriamarchskincare@gmail.com and I will check when the item is in stock. There may be a delay if the dish needs to be made.

Thanks for looking.

£5-00 for a specially selected soap dish (£3.25 delivery).

All in one body and shave soap

As part of my new range of soaps, my all in one body and shave soap is proving popular. The feedback received so far has been really positive. The soap has lots of kaolin clay; which adds slip to reduce razor burn. It also contains aloe vera, which has anti-bacterial properties.

This soap really is designed to help give you the best shave whilst caring for your skin.

£5.00 per bar. Minimum of 110g.

new face oil

Skin Conditioning Face Oil which can be used underneath a moisturiser or as a stand alone product.

This can be applied to either a damp or dry, clean face. Apply a few drops directly to the face or to the finger tips and rub gently onto the skin.

The blend of oils and essential oils work together to be skin conditioning and contain anti-oxidants and vitamin E.

£15-00 for a 30 ml bottle

dog shampoo

I have been producing this dog shampoo and have been selling this product at a number of pop-up shops.

This has been tested by a number of dogs and all the feedback by the owners has been really positive (it has even been successfully used on a horse!!).

Feedback received to date is that this product is easier to use than bottled shampoos that are currently on the market. They have also mentioned that the quality of the shampoo is far superior to what they have used in the past.

It contains essential oils to help clean, neutralize odors and repel fleas.

The product is packaged plastic-free.

£4-75 per bar. Minimum 100 grams.

keswick plastic-free market

Following on from a brilliant Keswick plastic-free market in May, I am back on 30th June. It will be held at 2:30 pm at the Methodist Church.

There is a Terracycle box to collect any items that cannot be put into a regular recycling box (i.e. crisp packets).

Also remember to bring your own containers and bags!!

New shampoo bars on the way!!

People who have been buying my Rose Geranium conditioner (thank you!!) have been asking me if I had a matching shampoo. I was already working on some ideas using Kaolin clay in the shampoo bars, so decided to add this to my product.

I have created and added two new shampoo bars to my range;

1) Rose Geranium and Ylang Ylang with Kaolin clay shampoo bar.

2) Ginger and Lime with Kaolin clay shampoo bar.

face oils.

Recently, I have been working on a recipe for a face oil, which has been tried and tested by a few willing volunteers. I am very happy with the feedback that I am getting and am hoping to launch the product in August.

In regards to this product, I am also extremely pleased with my research into the packaging. It is a glass bottle with a bamboo and rubber topped glass pipette. there is a minimal amount of plastic under the bamboo to keep the product safe. This plastic is however, recyclable.

Now You see me

Hi all. It has been a really busy few weeks for me preparing the next batch of soaps and displaying and selling my products through Northern Crafts at the Carlisle Old Town Hall (located above the Tourist Information Centre in Carlisle) and at the Cockermouth United Reformed Church, selling with the Cockermouth Country Market. I will be attending this market every Friday from 9am till 12:30pm.

After giving away a prize for a raffle at the Plumbland panto of Cinderella (for the Brain Tumour Research Charity), I was contacted by the Times and Star local newspaper. The reporter's daughter had won the hamper that I donated and wanted to find out more about me and my products. I was really pleased to have the opportunity to showcase my new business. The full story can be found online at the following address;

Busy making new soaps!!

02/03/2019 - Update.

This soap has cured and samples of these have been passed out for testing. So far, the feedback has been fantastic.

I have been busy making new soaps with nourishing avocado and hemp oil. This is the beginning of a range of soaps that I am planning on making using sustainable palm oil. These soaps do not have any added colour or scent in them.

The soaps are now curing for them to be safe to use and will be ready to test on the 21st February. I am looking forward to testing these and getting them ready to sell.

Thank you for looking. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

product prices added

Morning, I am adding prices to the products on the website today.

All of the products are priced differently based on their weight.

Please get in touch via email, Facebook, mobile etc if you need any further information.

Additionally, soaps can be cut to sample size for a small fee (plus postage).

Hello, and welcome to my site. I am very excited to be able to put my work together and display it on my own website.

This week, I have sent samples to a Cumbrian shop, and fingers crossed I will get some positive feedback about my products. I have also been working on felted soaps, and realise that I could do with a little more practice.

Apparently, my attempt at a sheep looks more like an Old English Sheepdog!! ;)

Thank you all for looking at the site; please stay tuned for more updates.
